First, I tried some .430 Hornady XTPs in 300gr...I started with 100grs of Goex FFF then 90 and finally 80...The taped holes are from trying different powder charges but the same bullet...It's amazing how groups come together when you hit the right powder charge...



Then I moved to .451 250gr Shockwaves, I went straight to 80grs of Goex FFF...My gun was previously sighted in 3 inches high at 100 yards with these and 90grs of Pyrodex R-S...




Since it looked like 80grs of Goex was going to be what my Knight Disc preferred I tried the .451 Hornady 250gr XTPs and 80 grs of Goex FFF...




In between, I also tried some .430 Hornady XTPs in 240gr but they didn't come together too well and my buddy wanted me to sight in his Omega...We started with Pyrodex, then tried 777 and ended up with 85grs and this group...His gun did like the .430 Hornadys in 240gr...The first 2 shots are on the left, then I adjusted his scope to the right and took 3 shots...





My intentions this year were to use either the 240gr Hornadys or the 300gr in .430 caliber...I've killed several with the Shockwaves and wanted to mix it up a bit...The problem, the 300gr .430 Hornady's are currently a bit hard to come by...I have 13 left so I may use them in the woods and the .452 Hornday 250grs for field hunting...I don't shoot past 150 yards and I'm betting they will be 2-3 inches low at that range, I'll verify at a later date...
