RE: Rip me all you want...............
Your last sentence asks us to convince you...
No offense, but... convince yourself.
I believe there are several smooth shooting shorty's out there... and I am willing to bet there is going to be at least one that will snatch your interest.
Afer shooting several shorty's I convinced myself that I preferred the Darton Mag 33. I shot it practically bare... no sights... no stabilizer... and taped-on limb savers to see what it would do. I expected a very radical response, at best. However, the results were completely opposite of what I anticipated.
The bow just sat there after the shot... over and over and over again. I was amazed at how smoth the bow pulled and shot for me!
I currently shoot a Darton Maverick... so maybe I am somewhat biased. However, I truly believe I gave that short bow [and several others] an unbiased test.
Like you... I wasn't about to give those shorty's a chance... until I began shooting them.
My advice? Go shoot a few. Heck... shoot a bunch. You might be surprised at what the techno-geeks can put together these days.
