I doubt the inlines had any effect on crossbow purchases.Crossbows can be used all of archery season and you can kill a buck with one.Inline season is for does only and it's only a week long.
they hunt like you doug, they want MEAT but you hunt, they DONT crossbow is useless to most with in-line meat week.you have to be hunter to get deer with bow and with lack of deer ,its hard as heck to get deer in clinton county in archery with bow.
so they use in-line.as for bucks, those same bIrds hunt in crews in gun season. they have like 3 kids or more along, THEY SHOOT AT ANY BUCK, GET ON RADIO AND CALL FOR TAGS,heck they got it real nice now ,dont have to count points and tag arrives via radio and kid drags it out......
there is no way they are interested in heavy expensive crossbow when they got best of both worlds in the IN-LINE ARCHERY AND NO COUNT POINT GUN SEASON..
money went to IN-LINES ,no way these birds are going to sit in tree and wait weeks or more to see a buck ,if they even see one.
I AM OUT THERE, I AM RETIRED, I KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING ,I KNOW PEOPLE ,I KNOW AREA.
