What I would try is say good bye to the bore butter,switch to loose powder,and try a different bullet @ only a spit patch between shots followed by a dry patch.
Percision makes a good sabot bullet and a another bullet to look into is the new hornady sst sabot.
As far as the scope being cranked to the left all the way I would check to see if the action was drilled off center maybe a call to c.v.a. customer sevice will help.
