Ouch!! That doesn' t look fun! I have about a 2 1/2 inch Frankenstein wound on the inside of my right achilles. Still hurts like a son of a gun, but am seeming a little better every day. God help me, though, when I' m late taking my Advil. Took a little while this morning to kick in. I found out the other day that my mother, who was trekking in Switzerland with friends, tripped and shattered her wrist. She' s now lounging for a week in a Swiss hospital while her wrist starts to heal. Thank heavens she wasn' t in a third-world country. She had the chief of orthopedic surgery put the many many pieces back together, and is now sporting a plate and several pins. I' m calling it her Swiss Army Wrist.

She' s feeling great though, and her friends, who went on to Austria, are returning to spring her from the hospital next week, then they' ll continue on with their trip!
I' m actually hoping to get in some duck or deer hunting when SeAk and the kids are here in November, then will have the left achilles done in December... THEN I' ll be ready for the bear hunting!!
