I had the same exact problem one year.... fortunately it did NOT effect my call. I have had calls "wear out" and the latex become loose, those calls did not work any longer and didn't sound like they were suppose to. It probably depends on how large the hole, and where it is. Best thing to do is try the call and if you are satisfied take it to the field. Good luck!
