Dont know a whole lot about boats myself.( use to have one here- but sold it to my soninlaw cheap- as a favor , who then thought he didnt have to pay me for it - he then got rid of it without asking me if i wanted it back first also)

But a 14-16 footer deep v hull bottom maybe what ya may need.

( not sure how well those poontoon boats do in strong winds) But i always thought it be nice to just cruse in calm waters etc with one- maybe have a fishing hole in the middle of the deck)

Wind for sure can be a big problem here- at least a few ppl have died for exposure& drowning after getting fliped by the wind here.
