Just putting this out there.
As many of you know I'm in college now, and I have a lot of free time since I'm not from where the school is. So I watch a lot of hunting DVD's and the other week I bought one of the Drury DVD's called Bow Madness TV season 2. Its a great DVD I love the layout of it and its 4 and a half hours long for 15 bucks at gander. Now I'm really not sure why, but it seems that if there are 100 harvests 85-90 of them were harvested with shots that were WELL back. Weather it was a Boar a Buck a Doe Predators, They just seem to have made a DVD that was a ton of bad shots, me and my room mate were watching this going wow... Seriously they put that on their DVD? had any one else noticed their is a decline in quality shots? Granted!!! its a HUGE animal they're shooting and I'd get excited too but geeze... Now on the other end of the spectrum they take kids out a lot and I mean a LOT! Now there is no part of me at all that thinks less of a Child (I think the youngest was 8 and the oldest was 15?) for making a shot on a whitetail thats slightly back I mean I'm by no means trying to say I'm a Pro shooter at all. I've had my fair share of ones that I hit further back than what I had wanted to but These guys are doing this every day of their lives.... Just as a Disclaimer I also bought the Dream season 9 and the Dream season all amateur's and they seem to have about the same Ratio of good to bad shots I just wonder what the deal is, I mean they recover all their animals just the time it would take for some of them to expire is significant. I'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed a pattern of this as well? And its like I said Prior to this I realize it happens to everyone. Just why use that hunt for your DVD? Why not use a different hunt with a better placed shot, I'd rather see a good shot on a 120 class buck than a square in the guts shot on a 240 class buck. Just saying.
Ryan.
