Stuff like that happens a lot. My dad was once standing about 50 feet within the clearly defined boundary of his lease and had the son of a neighboring land owner tell him that he was trespassing and he had 20 minutes to get out of there. My dad told him that it was his lease and he because he had been a smart mouthed punk instead of approaching him with some respect and tact he wasnt even gonna give the kid two minutes to get out of there. I've currently got a tree stand a couple feet inside my boundary line and a Posted sign that a neighboring land owner nailed to a tree about 10 feet within my boundaries.
Dunno how many of my friends and neighbors thought that because their family owned property that no one else had any business being there, but they turned out to be wrong. So, folks do get confused sometimes.
