As for the "bow" in the rail, maybe it's an intentional design feature. Here's the quote from an evaluation of this bow on the "Crossbow Review" website: "The flight rail surface is arched, therefore the string contacts just a portion of it for less friction and less wear."

If it's not a design feature, then your bow isn't the only one with the problem.
