Rusty loves the water too and jumped into some ice cover water on me on a exercise and training run last spring. I thought the worst of it as it was about 10 feet deep where a floage crossed the road. I had to grab him by the collar to get him back up on the ice. It never fazed him one bit. He just shook it off and went running down the road. He did point some grouse out afterwards that day to boot.
