Default Thom2's .17hmr

I own this rifle with a Sweet-17 BSA 6-18 x 40 mm scope

Ruger: Model 77/17VMBBZ Varmint rifle. This model features a black/grey laminated hardwood stock and a stainless steel barreled action finished in Ruger's low-glare, corrosion-resistant, Target Grey. The heavy contour barrel is 24" long. The rifle is 43.25" long and weighs 7.5-7.75 pounds.

I love it - very accurate. You just have to be aware of wind since the .17 is a very lite bullet. The velocity of 2550 takes down small game very quickly. I shot a coyote at 225 yard. He him in the neck. He went down and didn't even quiver.

This link will tell you more than you need to know about the .17 HMR.
