Hey guys! Chomping at the bit to get up there and start hunting. Can't wait to hear from any of you who have returned from your hunt with Mirage or Asselin. Can anyone tell me if snowmobiles will be of any use or if we will need them at all? I spoke to the woman at Asselin's and she said that there is about 5 inches of snow and cwcjr119 also said in one of his posts that he was told by his friend a Mirage guide that snow depth is minimal. I asked about ATV's and she said that they are no good up there because of the terrain. When I was up there in 2007 the terrain was not too bad, but I imagine it would be the mud and water if nothing is frozen up yet. Also I think they don't want ATV's tearing up the taiga because it takes a long time for the vegetation to grow again because of the short summers. Is anyone taking their bou's by snowmobile or are you better to go up the LA-1 road past the dam to look for them? If there is better success up the LA-1 road at what mileage are they crossing at the most? One of you guys was talking about a pinch point where the bou's cross on the LA-1 road.
