IME not all bores shoot differently unfouled. I do agree verification of POI is a must before any hunting trip.

In regards to cleaning supplies:
1 piece coated rod
bore guide
applicable jag/bore brushes
solvents and lube

Patches can be made from cotton tee shirts or bought if you desire. If I buy, I get the bulk pack of 50 cal patches then cut them down accordingly, I can use then in a .17 through 50 cal ML.
