I shoot a 55# recurve, and probably generate less KE than anyone whose answered.

#1 NO (Can't break shoulder bone shooting 175fps)

#2 YES (No-brainer)

#3 Yes (From a tree stand only. I've killed a couple from this angle...and it's a good shot. If an arrow hits about 8" in front of the deers left hip, it'll exit the deer below the right shoulder. Those bottom holes leave nasty blood trails. Only thing I don't like is not hitting both lungs.)
