Well if you have an old trail camera that you could possibly do without...lol You can put a trailcam up and maybe get some photos of whats really going on. Just hide it in a place that is out plain view.
I did this once, used my climber to place a camera a few trees away level with my ladder stand. Didn't get the culprit on film (animal or man) but gave me some piece of mind.
If I am hunting land with other guys that allowed to hunt but I don't know them real well, I usually won't share my successes to avoid this. Fortunately this was long ago, now I have some exclusive property we hunt and only with guys we trust.
