Been hunting the area for the last 15 years of my 29 years of hunting. The area doesn't hold as many deer as it once did, but holds decent amounts, some areas better then others. The whole area is loaded with bears, coyotes, bobcats, etc., from time to time some nice bucks are seen and sometimes taken, but for the most part the average buck is a 4 pointer, true mountain deer. There is no way of getting a pattern on the deer.

I hunted the area one once this season, 1/2 day hunt didn't see anything, I can only hunt on Saturdays, and it has rained alot every Saturday this past October.

I will not be back up there till the muzzleloader season, I'm leaving for Illinois in a few days for 3 weeks, as I help a friend with a small semi-guided hunting lodge: 2000 plus acres
