I used to bowhunt the DWGNRA on the Jersey side alot back in the 80s. Never had any trouble finding deer back then. I have no idea as to how the habitat has changed or the deer population dynamics have changed. One area I used to hunt was behind the Boy Scouts Camp Weygadt facility. That used to hold quite a few deer back then.

BTW Mac....I met up with one of your retirees the other day. Says he used to cruise Rt 31 all the time. Even wrote me a ticket once when I worked for Gary Gray. He lives up here in Tioga County now, but I didn't get his name.
