I have used the bare primer conversion in my LRH for this year. We hunted in everyday rain, sleet, and cold temps in the muzzy seaon of Colorado, and I shot twice and both were instantaeous ignitions.

Are you cleaning out the rear pocket after each shooting session with a 1/8 inch drill bit? I do this each time I clean the rifle and get a LOT of crud out of the channel. Also, I always pop a couple of caps before reloading after cleaning.

I also used to treat my barrel with oil each time I cleaned it, but after having some ignition problems probably due to residual oil, I just go with Hoppes #9 unless it will be a long time before I shoot again.

So far I have not had a problem, but I do worry a bit when I go hunting.
