Something Iv'e noticed with the number one's is with the scope rings in one position only and not adjusable at all front to rear, all scope fore and aft movement depends on the length of the back part of the scope between the adjustment knobs and the start of the rear bell. I bought a new Burris for the 45-70 and had it adjusted as far back as I could get it and still had to move my head forward to get the complete sight picture. Then adding a decent recoil pad eliminated the use of the scope at all. Ok, I'll use the irons----now though, I have the .204 #1 and it will be scoped. Problem will be finding a good scope with enough length to get the proper eye relief---any suggestions?
