Nice report! Did you find any of the broken off pedals or could you see the path the pedals took?? Nice shot by the way.

I'm with you on taking a quartering away shot, better too far back then too far forward. I shot a doe quartering away last weekend at 10 yards. The big Snuffer just nicked the guts and passed through the liver, lungs and heart. DOA...nice and quick.
