The Lehigh opened in the liver every thing in that area was torn to shreds. I looked for the petals but could not find them I believe that 2 of them exited through the belly form the holes and blood clots.

MD the bullet was poking through the skin with just a bit of it showing on the outside edge of the shoulder after busting right through the bone. I believe if it had not hit the big bone in the shoulder square it would have exited .

Congrats Lee!
Thanks for the information... if football season would get over I would be able to get out and do some hunting myself. I am glad you had that success with the 200 - I am going to other end of the spectrum and I am going to harvest with a .458/275 Lehigh.
Again congrats! and very informational write up....

Thank you.
By the way I was using the converted breach Plug with the #21 drilled hole all the way through and the Lehigh vent liner. I have complete confidence in it I am inclined to think that with a 20 power scope and a good bench set up I could drive nails with it @100yds.

Nice work Lee.
The bullet did the job, but don't know if I like the way that bullet looks. Is it a hollow point bullet? Don't know if I ever saw the pedals break off a bullet like that. Are they brass bullets? Not that familiar with these bullets. Seems the metal is very brittle.

They are brass bullets and they are designed to work that way. They are very new and I was concerned about how the would work but not any more; that deer staggered for 25 yds [about I did not measure] the damage was awesome and it had 26 inches of penetration to go with it. They shoot better than any thing else in my triumph and my Endeavor. No other bullet ever gave me half inch groups with any regularity. They are expensive but very good.
