I myself would do it properly. Any gunsmith can tap those holes for 10 dollars. Or if you have a friend with a tap and helix kit. And you will have to use slightly oversized screws. Or use a helix. Loctite blue and red are not glue per sa. But might work, but I sure wouldn't want that to be a problem you find out about 7AM with a nice deer below.
