IMO if you keep these bullets within the velocity parameters that they are designed for, you should be fine. Hornady list these bullets for expansion between 900-1800 fps. I don't think that a manufacturer would list a bullet at speeds that they would fall apart at. I have taken about 5-6 deer with the .430 240gr xtp between 1700-1800 fps and every shot was a complete pass through, with very short blood trails. And lots of blood.
I just ordered some sierra .429 240gr JHC and some Hornady .430 300gr xtps, just because. I have a feeling that I will always return to the .430 240 xtps. All the power you need for whitetails and recoil is very managable. JMHO
