i have used the 240 grain .430 XTP bullet since my return to muzzle loading 10 years ago. Have killed about 20 deer and dozens of wild hogs with that bullet. The vast majority of those kills were bang flops or near bang flops. Use the 240 grain .430 XTP bullet along with 100 grains of Pyrodex and you will have a fine deer load.
