I would have just told him OK. Build your relationship with the landowner and make him feel like he is part of your hunting. Let him get some "Skin in the Game". Buy your own tags. Park in a spot where the other landowner doesn't see your vehicle. Hunt how and where you need to hunt. Don't tell that guy a thing.
