I have seen this in the wild also, one of the largest does my dad ever shot weighed in at 160 pounds and she had three button buck fawns with her at the shot.

We also raised deer for a number of years and had triplets a few times, mostly from our older does (5-6 years old), though one doe birthed twins every year from 1 and a half through her death of 9 years old.
