The arc concept isn't applicable for flat land bowhunting. Even if you are 30 ft up, a standard rangefinder will only be off a yard or two max. ARC, which compensates for the angle of the trajectory to get its true horizontal distance perpendicular to the force of gravity, is only applicable when you are hunting in the mountains where you may be shooting down a 45 degree angle which will have a huge affect on your shot. If you aren't going to be hunting in the mountains and want a rangefinder for bowhunting, nikon offers a great product at a great price.
