I figured that since I had a lot of does I could be in business. But how about all the young deer following and actually trying to breed these does? The does aren't willing and I hope they continue not willing for these little guys, but should I be concerned about these little guys?
Personally, I wouldn't be. There's always going to be younger bucks no matter what. They have to start somewhere. I wouldn't cull them unless they're 3+ years old and still not showing signs of potential. If you kill off all the younger ones out of fear that they'll breed the does before the mature bucks can, then you won't have that many bucks in the future. Just let nature take it's course as far as mating is concerned. The larger bucks will run the majority of the younger ones off once the does go into estrus.
