I hunt because I enjoy it. All aspects, being in the woods,watching the wildlife in it natural suroundings etc. My family eats all we harvest. The word need has many meanings depending on the context. Do I need to to hunt to survive, No, but I do know of people who hunt to supplement the food they have to pay for. But, I do need to hunt to maintain my sanity from the crazy world in which we live. Just like people who golf, fish, hike etc. Most people enjoy something to help them cope with the pressures most people have. What I call the big picture is as with the fanatic animal rights groups , you have 1 group of people trying to force their morals and beliefs on another group(Hunters) and tell us what we can and cannot do. Do I NEED to HUNT to live or I will die, NO. But I do NEED to HUNT because I call that LIVING!
