Well unless the game is right outside your door or very close by then can't afford meat doesn't apply. First off let me clarify I hunt and eat every piece of meat i get, my family lives on venison. However if I sat down and figure out the costs per pound...well lets just say its not cheap! I hunt because I enjoy it, the meat is really the bonus but a bonus we have come to love and frankly dang near expected in my household. When ever i am grilled about my need to hunt by the anti I rebute by asking what they do to conserving the animals for which they think they keep? The truth told hunters know more about the animal for which they chase and do more to conserve them as well. DU is a perfect example of hunters helping the game they cherish. Not to mention the revenue we generate for state and private sectors. What about employment/job creation? The list goes on folks. The anti or activist are dwelling on a single creature we're we think of them as a herd or whole...who really is doing more??? Chaps my cheeks I tell you!!
