The lead in the FTX-SSt is harder you have to up the velocity a bunch to get them to open right. The SW with the hard Yellow plastic work well at 1600 to 1800 FPS [they will shoot very accurate at higher velocity but tend to come apart] The newer FTX and FTX-SST has enough harder lead that it takes 2100 or 2200 just to get them to open right.
