It was a continuous party, interrupted once in a awhile for work! It was a great time. I wish I'd have asked to extend there instead of going to Camp Lejeune. That place sucks. Yeah, I tried to extend there also but I put in my papers too late. Lesson learned. I was on Camp Hansen back in 1999 working at the only Armory that provides 3rd-4th Echlon maintenance to the whole island. Very, very busy. I've been in going on 11 years now and as luck would have it, I'm going back to the same Armory. I'm pumped about it because of the amount of weapons we get to deal with. Everything from rifles to machine guns to mortars to SMAW's. We see it all. In my opinion, it's the best Armory in the Corps for gaining diverse technical experience in my MOS. And there's also 20+ Marines in that Armory so it will be a great experience from a leadership standpoint.
