I agree tell him to stick with the 100 gr head and choose a good fixed head design to match. I am heading up for Elk in 5 days and have choosen the Steelforce Premium 100 Gr-2blades as my elk medicine, coupled with a 27.5" Carbon Express 300 arrow moving at close to 300FPS, i feel it will be an excellent combo to take down an elk. BTW, the steelforce fly right with my field points to 45 yards and extremely sharp! Another good head to look at is the Magnus Stinger, this like the steelforce premium is a cut on impact head and fly' s very true as well. In fact had I not ran into a supplier issue with the magnus stinger head I would be using it, but after shooting the steelforce I am very impressed and won' t be looking any farther, if they perform how I think they should!

Other fixed heads to consider are: Montec G5' s, Muzzy & Thunderheads.
