Dylan,
Just trust me......You will get close to the numbers you mentioned, but at a 30" draw.
It's that simple.
You're doing something wrong.....that's for sure.
Let me put it in a real world example that will hit home for you.....
I have a 30" draw......I shot my BowTech Mighty Mite at 70# 350 grain arrow and I got 318fps.(that's 10fps faster than your bow's listed speed of 308)
With a 450 grain arrow my bow shot 282fps.....that's 76-77ftlbs of energy.
With your bow
EVEN AT 30" DRAW LENGTH with the stated IBO speed of 308 for the "Predator" (nothing on the string).......your bow is putting out 74ft lbs of KE.
That's about as high as you can hope for with a 30" draw.
Now you take your 27" draw into the equation and things go downhill VERY fast.
Trust me Dylan......I'm very much right. Not being a smart A$$. I'm trying to help you understand all that tech stuff.......this is "Real World" what your bow IS going to do.
SPF/De ratio is like some sort of sunscreen rating or something I think!<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> You're probably safe to shoot in a bright sun for a few hours with the numbers you are coming up with........but they aren't giving you the truth as to what your bow is doing for you.
I'm well aware of Steve's site....I use it all the time it's great. But I don't try to estimate things on it. I shoot my bows thru a chron THEN go see what it is doing energy wise and with respect to trajectory.
This isn't an opinion Dylan......it really is a fact.
I'm not questioning your archery experience.......but You have to use common sense before you even get into playing with numbers etc.......Are you really expecting a bow that is going to put out 74 ft/lbs of KE at <font color=red>30"</font id=red> draw be able to
INCREASE to 75 when
you are losing 3" of draw length??......Think about it bud.
Short arms suck......it's a fact of life.

Your BBS friend.....Matt
