RE: You did the right thing Ken!
I agree bobk, Ken and I' m sure the IBO directors and Snoeshoe were involved in making that decision. I' m sure that the decision was based on everyones safety as thier first priority. I believe Ken and his directors are more than capable of making the right call in such a circumstance. The decision was made and that' s that. We all have to live with it and we should support it. All the complaining in the " world" can' t change what happened. I seen Ken cornered near the IBO booth and the childish verbal abuse he encountered was absolutly uncalled for. At the anouncement Saturday afternoon he encountered it again.
We all got in 20 targets Friday and we should be happy we did. I was fortunate enough to make the cut in the MBO and got to shoot today (Sunday). Fell apart, but I was there. The finals were based off of 20 targets instead of 40. If I hadn' t made the cut I would have been slightly disappointed as I may have picked it up a bit Saturday. But I would still have accepted the decision as that' s that, there' s nothing I can do about it.
I love Snowshoe Mtn. I think it' s a great place to hold our event with our families. There' s plenty of accommadations, centrally located on the eastern seaboard. Unfortunatly at 4000' plus elavation, the weather and fog can be a problem. They said they had great clear weather last week while preparations were being made.
The fog screwed up the finals last year and here it happened again. So maybe a location change should be concidered at somepoint in the future.
Ken and the IBO Directors can count on my continued support, as for what they do for the sport of bowhunting is unsurpassed by any organization in the world
