I had settled on a nice new Burris in the lower power range for this thing, got it home and found it was too short to span the rings. This worked out real well because I took it back today and upgraded to the Fullfield ll, 3-9x40 in gloss black. It mounted up perfectly and looks like a million bucks. I'll get it bore sighted and then out to the range. My wife has the camera again, but as soon as I can get my hands on it I'll take a couple photos and post them on the forum. stumbled around learning about scopes---I also discovered in the Burris catalog, a line they call the Short Mag series, and the top of the line scope can be had in silver. This will match my stainless .300 WSM---it was a good day---thanks guys-----John
