Bowtruck, may plant crops for his deer on his 1080 acres, but if he has a neighbor with a commercial farm,an orchard, nursery or truck farm ,that neighbor will not appreciate having 50 DPSM . If a neighbor wants to timber his property and Bowtruck has 50 DPSM the neighbor is going to have a hard time getting adequate regeneration. Also, tying up more private land for a limited numbers of hunters will only compound the problem on public land. So your proposed solution to the PGC's current mismanagement is even more mismanagement.
