I agree with the 35g Bergers for reloading.
And the 32g Hornady Vmax in ammo sales(Chronys out at about 3850fps). Both these offerings work great in a 1:12 twist barrel.
However, the 40g offerings grouped horrible.
We reload the 35g Bergers (
Moly Coated) with 29.5g of IMR4320 powder, Rem brass, Rem 7 1/2 BR primers. This is
just barely a Compressed Load, that gives 1.5-2 inch groups at 350yards. This is on a 22inch barreled AR-15 platform. This chrony's out around 4000fps
For
Non-Moly Coated 35g Berger bullets, start at 27g of 4320 powder, and work up from there
