I use horny toads quite often and i use watermelon reds mostly. I switched to ribbits recently because they have paddle feet and create more commotion on the water

When a fish hits it and doesnt take it under let the lure fall because a lot of the time bass will hit it to stun it. When they do take it drop your rod wait 2 seconds the rip away.
