RE: THERMALS WHEN HANGING STANDS.
I have spoken in the past with a weather man who advised that wind will push thermals the direction it is belowing but for the most part they will rise in the morning and fall in the evening. Last year I realy watched this on days that the wind speed was under 10 mph my wind dust would go the direction of the wind and up some. The same is to be said for evening also. A few times I tried it with the wind 11 mph + and could not realy tell if it went up or down. This is something to think about when hanging stands for am or pm hunts that might help you score a buck of a life time.
I have been doing this for the past 4 years and I have seen a differnce in the number of deer I seen and the number of deer that below me. Good Hunting.
