Actually 110 grBH with a 250 gr Gold Dot is avery good deer load for normal ranges and it shoots quite well in all my guns with the Harvester 300+ sabot I took a couple deer with that load last year and several before that.
I like to see what max loads will do with some bullets, but for hunting the construction of the bullet often limits just how fast I will push it. When I was shootingXTP's I did not go over 100 gr,with the 250 Gold Dot I started up the powder ladder with it and it shoot an inch or better in all my inlines so after the first couple of bang flops I never considered changing the load, its my in the woods load and I rarely have to shoot over 50 yds but the way it shoots more distance would not be hard to deal with. I checked the sighting and group for the 300gr but don't use it much in AR except for elk.
I am wondering what some of the other people use for there best load with BH. Lee
