RE: Accuracy? how much, to what level?
If I had read these post 10 years ago it might have saved me thousands of dollars in rifles bullets and powder but maybe not. I have friends that say" if I can hit a softball at 100 yds Im happy". Well me too in a hunting sanareo but in order for me to do that I need a rifle that will hit a quarter at 100 yds. When hunting I use a rest in a tree stand or when hunting from the ground i use shooting sticks but it still not the same as across sand bags on a rock sollid bench. Inline muzzes I expect and get 1" groups at 100, if you want 2" groups at 200, shoot and test loads at 200. Dont expect a 1" group at 100 yds to automatically be 2" at two hundred. It just ainte allways so. With my 270 rifle i expect and get half inch or better groups shooting over sand bags or i sell the rifle. I have a rem targermaster 22lR that was reamed out two shoot 22 Mag. Over sand bags i can hit a roofing nail at 50 ydsand i have killed many squirrels out to about 65 yds. I guess IM not that good of shot under the hunting sanerio but we all can agree that the game we persue deserve the best shot we can possible shoot. Just two cents from a fawn.
