Default Thread idea

I'd like to start filming my hunts this year and it seems like more and more people are showing interest in doing the same. My problem is that I don't have any experience with a video camera. I've seen in the past where a thread is posted to the top of a board (like the "Sales/advertising" on this board) for tips on taking photos of your hunting success. But I've never seen one for video.

Would it be possible for some of you more experienced (professional or amateur) videographers to post some or all of your tips. Things like camera settings, recommended accessories, editing, common mistakes and how to avoid them, etc.

Tell it to me (and others) like we're stupid, because when it comes to videography, I know nothing. I'm just looking to speed up the learning curve a little bit and Ihope there are guys out here that would like to help. After all, that's what this site is all about, right?

Maybe the mods can start a new thread, or you can just hi-jack this one.

Thanks in advance.
