Maybe try Birchwood Casey, they make rust remover and gun blue. The bottle says for touchup or complete gun bluing. I' ve used it for touch up and was surprised at the result. Like someone said may need a couple coats. And if you don' t like the results you can always have it hot blued. Good Luck
