Mohunter the ones you are talking about are called spike or peckerheads they are indeed are morels they are in the same family as the blacks here is a close up picture I took off a morel website


I don't like them much they are fragile I give them all away.

No I don't find the big yellow very often. I live across the river from In. They find the big monster yellows all the time. I find alot of big numbers every year. Just not the giants
