Just shoot them with your ML. The bullet doesn't really matter, as a .50 cal hole will kill any coyote pretty quick. When I hunt my Aunt & Uncle's and their neighbor's land, the standing order is to shoot coyotes on sight, no questions asked. It's legal year round in Iowa with a small game license (also required for deer hunting), and the neighboring farmers consider the only good coyote is the one that isn't breathing.
