I understand your point. And I never said I was giving stats for the state as a whole, rather than quoting PAGC reports I tell what I see personally. In my area this was the ratio. Another factor is this it was still early in the season so as I pointed out with the 3 deer scenario, the early part of the season will have a higher fawn ratio. Simply because they are the youngest and most easily killed, once the current years fawn numbers drop from hunting there is a more balanced fawn adult ratio. Later in the season the adult does are taken in higher numbers. Usually after they chase off their fawns during the rut and then alot are shot due to being chased by the buck who run them ragged attempting to breed. They are less cautious at this time of the year due to being distracted by buck.
