It'd be interesting but I wonder.....synthetic oils may not be made from Crude oil but they are hydrocarbons in the same family, just a more orderly molecular structure. They are mineral oils as opposed to vegetable based oils. I expect that the same issues that result from "petroleum" contamination will occur with synthetics.

OX-YOKE patchs use a MINERAL OIL.

how could it be proven that a SYN oil would contaminate as a PETRO oil would.

OX-YOKE has been using the MACHINE MINERAL OIL for long time, does not mean its right thing.

be nice is some test could be done on a SYN OIL.
