Default RE: Power on

I purchased a HOMELITE generator for the house because we used to get a lot of power outages. As soon as I bought it, there were no more power outages. Finally two years later, the power went out. I started up the generator, and it ran for about an hour and the thing stopped working. When I had it checked, the repair shop said, all the parts in the generator were not tightened down from the factory, shook loose, and wiped out the generator part of the unit. HOMELITE told me.. too bad. Its not in warranty as they cover it for one year. And that I should have ran the generator (even though it was not needed) to make sure it worked. So I guess it is my fault.

So NEVER GET A HOMELITE. And if you have a generator put up in your home, run the thing for about six hours and make sure all at the factory was done right.

I was finally able to sell the motor for about what I paid for the generator so it was not a complete loss.
